Upstairs, and out of view, our bedrooms are a typical room to fall afoul of ‘unfinished decor syndrome’.
So much of the time perhaps another project gets in the way, we get design fatigue or we simply can’t find what we’re looking for in the way of accessories or furnishings to complete the look we were aiming for.
Very often it’s an unfinished quest for that special piece of ‘picture perfect’ wall art that can let us down, with many of us reluctant or unable to spend out for authentic artwork, but finding ourselves dissatisfied with available alternatives. Perhaps it could even be that traditional wall art just isn’t you, which could well be the reason why you can’t find what you’re looking for.
The notion of what constitutes wall art is more flexible and open to interpretation than ever. The access we have to endless creative inspiration online means that all sorts of weird and wonderful objects and materials can be used to make a statement piece – with strong contact adhesive – the imagination knows no realms!
If, however, you’re looking for a less ‘out there’ style statement for your bedroom, our handcrafted headboards are a piece of art in themselves. Stay tuned for part II of our ‘Picture Perfect’ blog later this week for our top five headboard picks for your picture perfect bedroom.
