Redux

Are you feeling all worn out from Christmas but don’t really know why?

Perhaps life’s been keeping you busier than usual lately and surviving on less sleep has become the new normal?

Or maybe you realised you needed to replace your bed some time ago but somehow the months and years keep rolling by?

Most people will come upon a time for sleep redux. Reviving and renewing the quality of your sleep can be as simple as making some small adjustments to your bedtime routine, bedroom environment, diet, exercise or other lifestyle habits.

Sleep redux for:

Your bedtime routine – try and go to bed at roughly the same time, do roughly the same things in the same order as you prepare for bed and incorporate relaxation time in your evening.

Your bedroom – in as much as you can control these things, keep your bedroom dark, quiet and temperate, but not too warm.

Your diet and exercise routine – if you can, eat larger meals earlier and take regular exercise, being active outdoors is particularly helpful to your sleep. Manage sugar and caffeine consumption and consume these and other stimulants earlier in the day.

The chances are you’ll only need to tweak one or two things in your daily habits to notice a difference in the quality of your sleep. However the biggest and most dramatic renewal of sleep quality tends to happen when upgrading a poor quality or aged mattress for a luxury pocket sprung mattress.

At Millbrook Beds we’re purveyors of Perfect Sleep. Our Perfect Sleep collection is the culmination of over 70 years experience hand making beds on the south coast of England and may be just what you’re looking for to renew the quality of your sleep in 2019.
