Back to business

There’s a ‘back to business’ feel in the air the week before the schools go back.

We’re not just thinking of households with school-aged children busily getting children’s feet measured and buying up new lunchboxes. At this time of year as summer’s drawing to an end there’s a noticeable gear change for people as businesses get back on track perhaps after quiet summer seasons or a period interrupted by high volumes of annual leave. In general we put lots of life things on the back burner in favour of making the most of rare opportunities to chill out in the garden or at the beach over the summer – and now its back to business.

Getting back to business can take lots of different shapes but it generally comes with some errands to complete and a sense of realigning routines all with the aim of making the day of reckoning (when we return to school, college or work) that bit easier. Every household has their own way but if you’re someone that particularly struggles with early mornings, it’s worth a go!

And for some parents with children heading back to school, it’s been an enlightening summer as children’s sleep has made a few headlines in recent weeks. Read on for more at:

In amongst the melting pot of research and advice out there for parents is the overwhelming evidence in front of you: your child. As their parent, you know them better than anyone and are responsible for teaching and encouraging positive sleep habits.

As you get back to business, make positive sleep a priority for the whole family. Find out more about #perfectsleep here.
