One more sleep

So we usually think about it being children that preoccupy themselves counting down sleeps at bedtime in the lead up to Christmas. But, in this topsy-turvy time, it can be helpful for both children and adults alike to remember that every time we go to bed, we’re one sleep closer to everything being back to normal again.

It’s not much we know when things still feel uncertain or when we’re facing loss, but it’s something.

So, each night before you go to sleep, be triumphant in striking off another day because – in that moment – today becomes another yesterday that we’ve lived through, and all those yesterdays will one day soon help us appreciate a brighter tomorrow.
